1. Ovulation

Most would say it is the most important part of getting pregnant. If you are not ovulating, no egg is being released and therefore, no pregnancy can result. Therefore, women who do not ovulate or do not ovulate properly should know some natural ways to increase ovulation for the best chance of getting pregnant. Read on for some tips.

2. Lose Weight If Needed

If you are overweight, that can have a very damaging effect on your overall fertility. Ovulation especially is affected by your weight. Losing as little as five to ten pounds if you are overweight can put your body processes back on the right track and can help you to get your ovulation back to a good place.

3. Eat A Healthy Diet

Along the same lines as losing weight, eating a good diet is a great way to increase your ovulation by regulating your body processes. Lean meats, whole grains, fruits and veggies and full fat dairy products are great ways to improve your diet. As for junk foods, processed foods and fast food, try to avoid those if possible. These are not good for you and will inhibit your ovulation.

4. Exercise

Exercise is not just important for losing weight, but for regulating hormones and all body processes as well. Try to aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. Even if you have to spread the activity out over the course of the day, that is fine, as long as you are getting it in.

5. Take Your Vitamins

Vitamins are very important in making sure that your body is in the best place possible. If you are wanting to conceive, it is a good idea to start taking a prenatal vitamin. Yes, that is right. Start taking a prenatal vitamin before you ever get pregnant.

If you have any sorts of nutritional deficiencies, taking a prenatal vitamin can help to bridge that gap. Also, if you get pregnant while taking a prenatal vitamin, your baby will be protected from issues like neural tube defects.

6. Keep Anything Negative Away

While there are lots of things that you CAN do to improve your ovulation, there some things that you should not do, and some things you should take out of your day to day routine. If you are a smoker, you should definitely quit, since smoking can wreak havoc on your fertility. Same goes for using illegal drugs and drinking as well.

Eating bad foods, as we have already mentioned, should also be taken out of your daily routine. Stress is another big thing that can play with your ovulation cycles, and should be kept to a minimum if possible.
