1. Royal Baby Watch, Part Two

It’s a Prince George pregnancy throwback lately, with all eyes being on Kate Middleton and the rumors starting to swirl over whether or not the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her second child.

The rumors run the gamut, with everything from Kate just gaining weight, to the rumor that she is pregnant with a baby girl, to the rumor that she has recently suffered a miscarriage. With no official word yet from Kensington Palace on the whole thing, we are left with only these rumors, so let’s try to decipher them and see what is really going on.

2. Is She Pregnant?

The rumors that Kate was expecting royal baby #2 first started swirling a few weeks ago. Tabloids started to insist that the Duchess was bloated and looking “puffier” than usual, just like she did early in her pregnancy with Prince George. The media also started to point out every time that Kate wore a “looser than usual” outfit, or placed something in front of her stomach during photo shoots.

Other reports insist that Kate’s face looks rounder than usual, and that she has taken on a rosy glow. Just like that, the rumor mill began to run wild, and rumors were flying, even saying so much as the fact that Kate was in fact pregnant, with a little girl, and her name would be Diana. Wow, that might be getting a little bit carried away.

Oddly enough, Kensington Palace has never tried to quiet these rumors, as they have in the past when they were not true. However, they have not gone so far as to confirm them either, leaving us all in a state of curiosity.

3. Did She Miscarry?

The GLOBE actually reports that the Duchess of Cambridge suffered a miscarriage in early July. “On a morning in early July Kate woke up feeling unusually sick,” according to the Aug. 4 print edition of GLOBE magazine.

“At first she thought that it was going to turn into the same type of morning sickness that she had in the early pregnancy stages with George but it came obvious pretty quickly that this was worse. The Royals summoned Kate’s doctor and were told that she was suffering a miscarriage.” Kate was then allegedly prescribed bedrest for four days, after which she proceeded to resume her royal duties.

Many critics say that the photos of the Duke and Duchess, along with Prince Harry at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland, were taken while the trio were still reeling from this devastating loss, and that is why they all three look extremely downtrodden and sad in the photos.

4. The Truth?

What is the truth about Kate Middleton and her alleged pregnancy? Will we be getting a “spare heir” or not? Kensington Palace has, rather oddly, stayed out of the whole thing so far and has not tried to clear up any rumors. It remains to be seen what is really going on with Will and Kate, but no matter what, we wish the adorable royal couple all the best and hope that things will go perfectly for them.
