1. The Unthinkable

A Dallas County, Alabama couple has been charged with rape in connection with a scheme to get an underage girl pregnant. Court records show say 29-year-olds Jeremy and Amanda Swann of Jones are charged with rape.

The couple allegedly propositioned the girl to have sex with Jeremy, in order for her to get pregnant and have a baby for the couple. The girl never did get pregnant, but she was sexually assaulted at least six times.

Jeremy Swann’s mother, Dianna Swann, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She allegedly knew what was going on and didn’t intervene. Authorities believe that she was present in the house she shared with her son and daughter-in-law at the time of the rapes, and that she heard the girl screaming but offered her no assistance.

2. A Sinister Plan

The unnamed girl, who was just 17 years old at the time, was actually a relative of the Swanns. The entire case came to light when the Swanns went to the Department of Human Resources to try to obtain full custody of the girl.

They claimed that they wanted her taken away from her mother because her birth mother had been sexually assaulting her. But when DHR investigators spoke to the victim, she told a different story.

“While the DHR was there investigating those charges, the girl told investigators that Amanda and Jeremy had been sexually assaulting her,” Investigator Janet Cole said. Several news reports also state that the girl in this case is mentally incapacitated, which adds another dark and sinister aspect to the whole thing.

3. Justice Will Be Served

Jeremy and Amanda Swann also face charges of enticing a child and incest. They are currently being held on $500,000 bond. Diana Swann has a bail set at $6000. Court records show that none of the three has obtained a lawyer. A public defender has been appointed to represent the girl.

According to Assistant District Attorney Elliott Lipinsky, who’s prosecuting the case, “It’s extremely disturbing. We’re not going to stop until we can ensure that the victim gets some sort of justice.” The trio of Jeremy Swann, Amanda Swann, and Diana Swann are all due back in court on September 1st for a bond hearing.

We can only hope that the victim in this case gets the justice that she so clearly deserves, and that the Swanns have to pay for the horrible things that they did to this girl. What has happened to her is unforgivable, so hopefully she will at least get some justice, and some counseling and therapy to help her move forward with her future.
